Lucille DeShon, age 93, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014.
Born April 4, 1921 in Akron, she was the daughter of Alfa Edgar and Fannie Jane (Vint) Moore.
Survivors include: son Richard DeShon, Jr., daughter Jane (Stephen) Smida, grand-daughter Megan Smida, brother-in-law Gene (Helen) DeShon; nieces Tudy Bell and Karen Goodrich; nephews Kevin, Kenneth, and Keith Stewart; and cousin Julie Burrows.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Richard DeShon, Sr. in 1976; sisters Geraldine Bell and Betty Stewart.
Private Services will be held for the family with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Lucille's memory to Open "M", 941 Princeton St., Akron, Ohio 44311.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs of St. Edward's Assisted Living and most recently, Copley Health Center.
