Lydia M. Colopy

Lydia M. Colopy, born Dec. 2, 1908, died July 25, 2012.

A graduate of the College of the Pacific in music performance, Lydia was past president of the Tuesday Musical Club; a member of the Women's Committee at The University of Akron, Akron Woman's City Club, Akron Symphony, St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Thomas Hospital.

Preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Hugh; sister, Gretchen; and brother, Sig; she is survived by sons, Richard (Laurie) Melliand and Dan (Brigitte) Colopy; four grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave., with Fr. Matthew Pfeiffer officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. TONIGHT at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 M. Miller Rd. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Tuesday Musical Club, 1 S.
