M. Celeste Frank

M. Celeste Frank, passed away on April 17, 2012 completing a wonderful life of 76 years.

Celeste was born March 18, 1936 in Akron, Ohio to John R. and Alice Mahan. She grew up in the Five Points area and was the youngest of four children, one sister Marie Nofsinger and two brothers, Richard and Johnny. She was a graduate of the last graduation class of West Sr. High School. She has remained close, and meets monthly with a group of gals from West High - the West High Golden Girls.

She met her future husband, Charles D. Frank, in the cradle roll of West Hill Baptist Church at two years of age. They married on her 18th birthday and were happily married for 40 years until his death in 1994.

Love and dedication carried her to many places over the years as Chuck pursued his career with Goodyear International. Their one daughter, Charla, was born in Akron and was their pride and joy. A son, Chip, joined the family in 1969 and was born in the Philippines. From there they moved to Thailand for a two year assignment then on to the Republic of China (Taiwan) for five years. The family also lived in Morocco and have travelled to many countries.

In 1976 Celeste began a career which would span many years - that of a Real Estate Professional. She received many awards-and became a Broker Owner of RE/MAX Keystone Realty in 1999. She continued to work up until death.

Her relationship with Jesus Christ was clearly evidenced by her actions with family, friends, business associates and clients. She was a member of West Hill Baptist Church and the Chapel at University Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Charla; son, Chip (Becky); granddaughters, Alie and Katie.

Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 27th at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, 716 Mt.
