Macklin Conner Smith, age 15, of Copley passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
Born November 12, 1998 in Akron, he was the son of Christopher Smith and Michele Corathers-Flory. Macklin was a sophomore at Copley High School. He was an active member of the Grace Church Youth group as well as Graham Road Baptist Church in Cuyahoga Falls; he was a follower of Jesus Christ.
Macklin loved professional wrestling and hanging out with his best friend Dwayne Reed, as well as spending time with his family. His sense of humor and playfulness brought joy and countless smiles to his family and friends; he will forever be remembered as being compassionate, tender-hearted, and loyal. Macklin was an especially amazing blessing to his family, but we celebrate knowing that he is in the presence of our everlasting God. He enjoyed spending summers at Skyview Ranch where he was not only a camper since childhood, but he also served as a volunteer.
Survivors include his parents: Christopher (Laura Lesser) Smith and Michele (Eric) Flory; grandparents: Robert and Carol Smith, Mike and Kathy Corathers, and William and Lynn Flory; great grandparents: Lucille Sims, Howard and LaVerne Corathers, Jack and Daliah Maloney; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Dorothy Maloney and great grandfather John Sims.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Grace Church, 754 Ghent Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333, at 5:00pm where friends will be received from 3:30 until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made in Macklin's name to Skyview Ranch, 7241 Township Road 319, Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
