Major Mary Harvey

August 20, 1926 — July 26, 2018

Mrs. Major Mary Harvey, 91, died at Summa Hospital on July 26, 2018 after a short illness.

Born in St. Mary, W. Va., she was a graduate of Marietta High School. She had a 37 year career as an officer in the Salvation Army and was stationed in many places, returning
to Cuyahoga Falls in 1980. She served at the Adult Rehabilitation Center in Akron and retired from active duty in 1990.

Preceded in death by husband, Major Edward P. Harvey Sr.; son, David Harvey;
and grandson, Andrew Harvey. She is survived by son, Edward Harvey Jr. (Jill) of Cuyahoga Falls; daughters, Deborah Kilpatrick (Brooke) of Cuyahoga Falls and Darlene Harvey Gibbs of Portage Lakes; grandchildren, Alison Harvey, Edward Harvey Ill, Alexis Harvey, David Harvey Jr., Brooke Kilpatrick Jr., Ethan Kilpatrick and Deidre Kilpatrick; great grandchildren, Mia, Tyson, Danielle and Heiress.

Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. MONDAY, July 30, 2018 at Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Funeral services will be held TUESDAY, July 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Entombment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens to follow. Memorials made be made to the Akron Citadel of the Salvation Army, 190 S. Maple St., Akron, OH 44302. (Billow FALLS Chapel)
