Mara Lou Hartenstein

Mara Lou Hartenstein, 84, died Dec. 27, 2014.

Born in Flint, Michigan, she lived most of her life in the Akron area.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Eastern Star, and the Women's Auxiliary Board of Akron City Hospital. She retired as a teller from Fifth Third Bank and as a sales representative from W.T. Rogers Office Supply.

Preceded in death by husband, Robert B.; daughter, Jerilynn; great granddaughter, McKenna Bucy; and brother-in-law, James S. Hartenstein; she is survived by son, Robert F.; daughter, Patricia (James) Bucy; grandchildren, Todd (Debbie) Bucy, Stephen (Miranda) Bucy, Ryan (Laura) Bucy, Ally Bucy and Sara Hartenstein; great grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylea, Dagny, Alex, Anderson, and Adalynn; sister-in-law, Marian Hartenstein; and nephew and niece, James C. Hartenstein and Nancy Ernst.

The family would like to thank the staff at Stow Glen for their loving care.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Steve Bucy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before services. Inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44313, Women's Auxiliary Board of Akron City Hospital, 525 E.
