In loving memory of Marcella Kaplan, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, who died Sunday August 18, 2013 surrounded by her devoted children and family after years of struggling with the challenges of Alzheimer's disease.
With her death a part of us dies. As we live, she lives on also. The best of who we are will always be a testimony to her love, strength and perseverance. Mom, Mama, Ma, Mother... right to the tender last moments, she was precious to us. We will love her, hold her and miss her for always.
Preceded in death by husband, Royal C. Kaplan; she is survived by brother, Richard Barthalis; children, Jeffrey, Victoria, Amy, Carolyn, Mark, Kathryn "Kate the Great," Tony, Lisa and Marcy; and loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Summa.
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 West Streetsboro St., #201, Hudson, Ohio 44236. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
