Margaret T. (Peg) Hardy
Margaret (Peg) Hardy, 90, died June 10, 2016.
Born in Iowa on November 9, 1925, she was the daughter of Thomas and Rose Boland. Peg was a member of the St. Joseph's Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club. She spent most of her career as a registered nurse at St. Thomas Hospital in Akron and was proud of being and honorary member of the St. Thomas Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.
Peg was preceded in death by her husband, William Hardy; brothers, Charles (Adeline) Boland and John (Beverly) Boland; sisters, Kay (Kenneth) Corcoran, Anita (William) Wenger and Anna Boland; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Robert Jones. She is survived by daughters, Rozalynn Martin, Barbara (Oscar) Hunsicker, and Suzanne Reeves; grandsons, Bradley and Daniel Noonan, Aaron (Hannah) and Ryan Reeves; and granddaughter, Kathleen Donaldson. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to express deep gratitude to Dr. Troy Bishop for his compassionate care over many years and to the staff at Western Reserve Hospital for their excellent care over Peg's last days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. THURSDAY, June 16 at St. Joseph's Church, 1761 2nd Street, Cuyahoga Falls, followed by a luncheon and gathering of family and friends. Friends may call 4-7:30 p.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maryknoll Sisters, maryknollsociety.org, or Good Neighbors, akroncf.org/give/GoodNeighborsFund.
