Marilyn Canfield Gifford, age 85, died September 18, 2012.
She married E. Richard Gifford in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2006. She was a graduate of Ravenna High School and Purdue University. Marilyn was a Registered Dietitian and worked for the Nutrition Association and the Visiting Nurse Association in Cleveland for many years. She was a 59 year member of Forest Hill Church, Presbyterian, where she was active in many aspects of church life. She enjoyed hiking, camping, quilting and making many varieties of cookies at Christmas.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Allen (JaneAnn), Eric (Sandra), and Timothy (Carol); grandchildren, Kyle, Cory, Ethan, Graham (Jessica), Grace, and Natalie; sisters, Susan Canfield and Sally Jaworowski (Ron); nieces, Ann Drysdale, Martha Edwards, and Janet Lineberger; nephews, David Jaworowski, Chris Jaworowski, and David Gifford.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights on Saturday, November 24 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Forest Hill Church, 3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44118.
