Marion Reynolds Mensch

Marion (Mayer) Reynolds Mensch was born in Akron, Ohio on September 25, 1925 and went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2014.

The daughter of Wayne and Margaret (Gundel) Mayer, Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John L. Reynolds and her husband of 10 years, John Mensch. She is survived by her only beloved sister, Catherine Herrman of Port Charlotte, Florida; her three children, Philip (Patti), Richard (Sherry), and David (Debbie); her 7 grandchildren and her 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves her nephews and their families, Dale, Paul and Neal Morris, and Gordon and Denny Channel.

Marion graduated from Akron Central High School in 1942 and from Hammel Actual Business College. She worked at B.F. Goodrich and at Farrel Corporation as the chief secretary of the Akron branch office, retiring in 1990. As an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Cuyahoga Falls for 61 years, she served there in various positions: secretary of church council, treasurer of the women's circle, involved with church evangelism, cooking for many dinners and receptions, working on the church history project, and financial treasurer for many years. Marion loved to serve in almost any capacity. She loved being a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many special people. She was also a member of the Falls Chapter #245 Order of the Eastern Star.

A special thank you to her doctors and caregivers from Mulberry Gardens in Munroe Falls, Bath Creek Estates in Cuyahoga Falls, and hospice services for their wonderful care and assistance.

Services will be held 11 a.m. SATURDAY at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Linsz officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., FRIDAY from 5 to 7 p.m., where Falls Chapter #245 O.E.S will conduct services at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church at 2121 6th Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
