She was born July 5, 1921 in Akron to Scott M. and Grace Nolf Barkhurst. After graduating from Buchtel High School she married Robert Darst on August 16, 1941. She retired from Compudata, Inc. and was a member of Caldron, Eastern Star, Georgetown 2248 AARP, St. Paul's Episcopal Church and St. Paul's Needlework Guild. Marge loved to read and crochet. Her greatest joy, of all, was her family.

She is survived by daughters, Judith John Robinson and Susan John Hatton; grandchildren, Bryce Nicole Robinson, Sara Nathan Simpson, Matthew Tammy Ronau and Joshua Misty Ronau; great-grandchildren, Matilda Robinson, Noah, Aidan and Ella Simpson, Jessica and Zane Ronau and Madeline Ronau.

The family would like to thank Rockynol Retirement Community Staff for all the love and care they gave Marge during the nine years she resided there, the Visiting Nurse Hospice Staff for their support during her final weeks, and especially 'Dr. Joe' for his compassion and guidance.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 West Market Street, Akron, Ohio, with Rev. Mark J. Pruitt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Needlework Guild, Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, OH 44333 or to a charity of one's choice.
