Marjorie Ann Stuchel , of Akron, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2022, just two days shy of her 94th birthday. She was born October 7, 1928, in Quebec, Canada to Hugh and Charlotte Collins. The middle of three children, she was preceded in death by her older sister Dorothy and her younger brother Robert and her late husband of 51 years Franklyn Anton Stuchel.
Marjorie married Franklyn Anton Stuchel, with whom the family relocated to Brecksville, Ohio in 1969 to establish their first home together. Frank’s work had them relocate several times to Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Hornby, Ontario; Barrington, Illinois, Green Bay, Wisconsin: and Columbus, Ohio before settling in Bath, Ohio to be near their family.
Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who had a great passion for children, animals, antiques, gardening, Christmas and Life. Anyone visiting her welcoming home would quickly recognize these passions. She also was involved in a number of related clubs and volunteer organizations. Marjorie had a big heart and a great mind which will be terribly missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Jack (Connie), Mike (Kim), and Bob (Cynthia) Swan; her grandchildren, David, Jeffrey (Sahar), Michael (Sam), MacKenzie, Jacob and Cydney Swan, an ever-growing group of great grandchildren and Franklyn’s younger sister Suzon Bernow.
A special thank you to the caring staff, especially all the nurses, at Akron General Hospital and the wonderful Justin T Rodgers Hospice Care Center in Fairlawn.
