Mark Stephen Roberts

Mark Stephen Roberts , a lifelong resident of Richfield and Bath, passed away May 23, 2024, at age 66, following a long illness. He was a 1977 graduate of Revere High School and a graduate of both The Ohio State University and Kent State University.  Mark was a proud veteran of the Virginia Air National Guard, the Ohio Air National Guard, the US Army, and was retired from Revere Local Schools.

Preceded in death by his parents Jim and Marie Roberts of Richfield, Mark is survived by his loving wife Kathy and daughters Christina (Patrick) Morris and her three children Carmelina, Vincenzo, and Serafina of Bath, and USN LT. Samantha Roberts of Norfolk, VA.  He will also be dearly missed by his brothers, Jim, Jr. (Karen) and Danny (Char) Roberts and his sisters, Sandy (Danny) Mehalik, Shelly (Al) Keagle and Gina Rose; and his brother-in-law Chris (Kim) Peters and sister-in-law Suzanne Peters. A proud father and doting grandfather, Mark will also always be remembered for his infectious laugh and corny jokes by his six nieces, four nephews, four grandnieces and three grandnephews.

An avid outdoorsman, Mark enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding his ATV. Proud of his Italian heritage, Mark visited Italy on several occasions and researched his Italian roots. He had many passions and could fix and repair almost anything. Mark had a wicked sense of humor and was knowledgeable on a variety of subjects, ranging from identifying trees and plants to trading in the stock market. He will be remembered fondly by all who loved him.

A celebration of Mark’s life is being planned by the family at a future time.
