Marlana Jane Mullin

June 18, 1998 — December 13, 2020

Marlana Mullin, age 22, died tragically in an auto accident on December 13, 2020 with her sister Christine Shead, age 12. She was born June 18, 1998 and was a beloved daughter to Julianne Shead.

She was preceded in death by her kind-hearted stepfather, Douglas Shead; her sister, Cristine Shead; cousins, Daniel Kohanyi and Alexandria Mullin.

She was a benevolent partner to Brandy Locke; an adored juvenescent to Scott & Rita Glass (of Minnesota); a cherished granddaughter to Jerome and Terry Mullin; and an admired sibling of Austin and Garret Shead, and Amanda and Charlie (Bubba) Guinn; as well as a generous and easy going niece to Vincent Mullin, Angela Mullin (Tom Rollins), Julie and Dean Kohanyi, Patti and Tom Walker, Dave and Lyla Shead; and a commendable cousin to Mathieu Mullin, Hailey Mullin, Kayla Rollins, Brian Kohanyi, Amber Parker (Ryan), Heather Walker, Gregory Walker, Hayley Walker (Joe Adams), Nick Shead, Kelli Shead (Chris Finkbeiner) and their children Kendall, Colt, Avery and Peyton. She was a friend, coworker, neighbor, bowling team member and rollercoaster enthusiast to many others in the large wake of her too-short life.

Marlana left and enduring impression on most she met with her beautiful smile, even briefly, because of her tenderheartedness and generous nature and the jokes she would tell to make you all laugh.  She would take in stray animals, ride and care for horses, and give assistance to anyone in need. She had an adoration for roller coasters, pool, team sports, and especially, bowling.

Marlana made many close friends in the Perrin Asphalt Bowling League in Kent, Ohio, which warmly welcomed her skills and mastery of the game.  An avid sports fan, Marlana could bond with anyone over an Indians’ game, while watching Ohio State pummel its competition, or while staying optimistic and loyal to the Browns.

She will be remembered as a precocious and clever young woman who graduated early at the age of 15 from Ravenna High School and followed her stepdad into employment at Viking Forge Metal Stamping Service in Streetsboro.
