Marlene Stefan Hokes
Marlene J. Hokes, 73, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away December 9, 2008 at home in the loving care of her family.
She was strong and courageous even though she met many obstacles in life. Marlene was a wonderful caregiver who operated her own adult family home for nearly twenty years. She was deeply committed to issues involving the care of the elderly. Marlene was an eternal optimist; no matter what life threw her way, she always saw the bright side.
She will be dearly missed by her sister, Sharon Rose Malone of Phoenix; children, James Hokes, Phyllis Ann Urbank, Thomas Hokes, Joseph Hokes; grandchildren, Shvonne, Shannon and Aaron, KC, Erin, Leah, Jessica, Alexandra, Heather, Krista, Thomas, Joseph, Kaitlyn, Kara; great-grandson, James; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be FRIDAY, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., with service at 7:30 p.m. at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating.
