Martha Jean Martin

Martha Jean Martin, 88, passed away peacefully April 17, 2015.

She was born on August 17, 1926 in Albany, KY to parents Dudley and Pearl Long. She raised her family in Akron before moving to Florida for twenty one years and then returned to Akron for the last four years of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Miles David Martin. Survived by her three daughters, Nancy (Mike) Goguen, Becky (Ken) Slonaker and Cathy (Fred) Hyatt; grandchildren, Becky (Pat), Rachel, Ruth (Chad), Randy, Robyn (Jason), Steve (Elissa) and Kevin; she had 16 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00 with calling hours from 10:00 to 11:00 before the service at the funeral home. Pastor Aaron Furman will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
