Martha Seidl Quackenbush

Martha Seidl Quackenbush went home to be with her Lord on December 24, 2014, after a courageous battle with a long illness. She was born in Osijek, Yugoslavia on August 15, 1947, and grew up in Syracuse, NY. After living in many locations in the USA and abroad, she settled and lived with her late husband, Bruce H. Quackenbush in Canton, Ohio. Martha was a graduate of Powelson Business Institute in Syracuse, New York, and she recently retired from her successful career as the director of the Mayfield Senior Center in Canton, Ohio.

Martha is survived by her loving sisters: Carol Szilagyi (Louis) of Green, Ohio; Margaret Zarkovacki (Peter) of Copley, Ohio, and Lydia Blumel (William) of Riverdale, Utah. Surviving her also are nieces and nephews who loved her, and to whom she was very devoted.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2014, with services immediately following at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Interment will take place at 1:00 on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Rose Hill Burial Park.
