Martha J. Sax, 91, went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2011.
Born Jan. 28, 1920, Martha was a lifelong resident of Akron and a descendent of Simeon Prior, founder of Northampton Township and a member of Northampton Baptist Church. She had been Manager of Breathnach Country Club in Cuyahoga Falls for 17 years and then worked for Falls Recreation Bowling before retiring at age 72.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. and Minnie F. Prior Shaffer and husband, William P. Sax; brothers, Alson and Leon Prior; and sister, Eva Collins. She is survived by daughter, Sandy Rilling; son, John G. Peggy Sax; grandchildren, Jill, Johny, and Jesse Jessica; nephews and nieces.
