-Martha A. Spencer Swigart, 84, went home to be with the Lord April 28, 2009.
Born in Akron, she was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild. A volunteer at Akron City Hospital and Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, she worked in the Accounting Department at B&O Railroad and for Fred's Diner.
Preceded in death by her husband, Donald, to whom she was married 57 years, she is survived by her sons, Philip Pamela, Jonathan Goldie and Fred Debbie; grandchildren, Jordan and Haley Spencer, Jenna, Maxwell, Natalie and Donald Spencer.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. SUNDAY at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect St., Akron 44304, with Rev. Landis Coffman officiating. Inurnment at Holy Trinity Memorial Garden. Friends may call at the church Sunday one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the church.
