Martin J. Joyce, age 89, beloved husband of Beatrice, passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He served his country for four years as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Corps during World War II.
Martin attended the University of Pittsburgh and was a mechanical contractor for 40 years in Pennsylvania and Ohio. He was President and CEO of Siegferth, Inc. of Akron.
Preceded in death by his son, Gregory, he is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice, with whom he celebrated 64 wonderful years of marriage. He was the proud father of Debbie (Rusty) Able, Jeffrey (Angie), Steven (Mary), Michael (Jayne); seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Martin was a member of St. Hilary's Church and the Fairlawn Country Club. He and Bea loved travel, golf, dancing, the company of good friends, and most of all, just being together. His dry sense of humor was a source of both joy and embarrassment for his family!
There will be no public services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to The Wounded Warrior Project;
