Mary Alice Boose

Mary Alice Boose, 90, passed away January 15, 2014 after a long illness.

Born in Jelloway, Ohio on November 28, 1923 to William and Grace Mowery. She was graduated with honors from Loudonville High School. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Wilma; brother, Robert; and her husband, Clyde Boose who she met during WWII when Clyde was in officer's training at Kenyon College and she was working in Mt. Vernon. She and Clyde lived in Ohio, Vermont, California, and Michigan during their 54 year marriage. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for over 40 years.

Mrs. Boose is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathleen of Lyman, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Lynda of Houghton, MI; grandchildren, William and Lauren; and great grandchildren, Nicholas, McKayla, and David.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Pastor Jean Hansen officiating. Private entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Rd., #440, Independence, OH 44131 or to Faith Lutheran Church, 2726 W. Market St., Akron 44333.
