Mary Hunt, 89, passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2013.
Mary was born in Philippi, West Virginia on October 7th, 1923.
She is survived by her four children, Tim, Tom, Jr., Tina and Terry; as well as nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Tom, Sr.
Mary was an English, Latin and Mythology teacher for 40 years. The last 25 years of her teaching career, she taught at Hyre Junior High in Ellet, Ohio. In 2005, the Computer Learning Center at the Boys and Girls Club of the Western Reserve was named after Mary. Mary's sizeable donation made the establishment of this center possible, at the Club's main campus on Eller Road.
Mary was a loving, generous and hard-working mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren, as well as other friends and relatives of the Hunt family.
A private funeral service, for the immediate family, will be held at Billows Funeral Home at 85 N Miller Road in Akron, Ohio on Tuesday, October 8th.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of the Western Reserve, on 889 Jonathan Ave., Akron, OH, 44306.
