Mary (Crisafulli) Marturano, 92 years old, of Bath, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 18, at the Village at St Edward in Fairlawn. Mary was born in Oswego, NY, where she spent most of her life. She was happily married for nearly fifty years to Anthony Marturano, also of Oswego. After retiring, Mary and Tony moved to West Chester, PA and then moved to Bath fifteen years ago where she resided with her daughter and family. Mary loved baking, socializing with family and friends and was her grandchildren' s biggest fan, attending, supporting, and following their sporting, personal, and school events.
Before retiring, Mary was an executive secretary for the Oswego County School District where she worked for many years. In her early years she worked for Ames Iron Works and CycloTherm. During World War II, Mary worked in production as many women did. While in Oswego, she was an active member of St Paul's parish. Always the adventurer, Mary enjoyed traveling with her family, listening to music, learning to play piano, and also trying new things.
Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony (Tony), Mary is survived by her two daughters, Carol Marturano-Becker (Dale Becker) of Bath, Ohio and Ann Wheelock (Robert) of Couer D'Alene, Idaho, as well as five grandchildren whom she adored, Troy and Alexis Becker and Jason, Christopher and Natalie Wheelock. She also leaves behind a sister, Mayme Paeno and three brothers Joe Crisafulli, Dominic Crisafulli, and Lou Crisafulli, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are planned in Oswego, NY. Calling hours will be on Sunday, October 23 from 5-7 p.m. at the Dain- Cullinan Funeral Home at 112 E. Second Street in Oswego, NY. A memorial mass will be held at St. Paul's Church, 50 East Mohawk Street, Oswego, NY on October 24 at 10:30 a.m. with the burial following at St. Peter's Cemetery.
