Mary Pangas, 84, died March 7, 2019.
Born October 30, 1934 in Akron to James and Helen Poulos Zaharopoulos, she was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and the Daughters of Penelope. She enjoyed her children, cats, her car, bowling with friends, shopping and boating with her husband. Mary lived for her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary had been the secretary/bookkeeper in the family business, Stan’s Towing.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Zaharopoulos; she is survived by her husband of sixty years, Stanley; children, Michael (Chris) Pangas, Jimmy (Jill) Pangas, Helen (Randy) Grigson and Cleo (Greg) Sveda; grandchildren, Ginger, Nicholas, Johnny, Luke, Mary and Mike.
The family wish to thank the nurses and staff of Greenfield Estates and Southern Care Hospice for their Compassion and Care.
Services will be held Noon SATURDAY, March 16th at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where the Trisagion services will take place at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron, OH 44304.
