Mary Suzanne Stoll

August 18, 1933 — February 1, 2011

Mary Suzanne ``Sue' Stoll, age 77, passed peacefully from this world at The Montebello on Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Tuesday February 1, 2011.

Born August 18, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, to Nora Mary Cox and Colonel Clyde Eugene Lamiell, Sue was the youngest of three siblings. Sue spent the majority of her childhood in the Akron, Ohio area. She attended Our Lady of the Elms and Saint Vincent High School in Akron, where she graduated in 1951. After graduation, Sue worked for B.F. Goodrich for several years, until she relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida. While there, Sue worked for Palm Beach Community College until her marriage.

On September 26, 1959, Sue married Francis ``Frank' Xavier Stoll of Akron, Ohio in West Palm Beach, Florida. The couple returned to Ohio, where they resided all of their married life. Sue retired from Federal Express/Roadway in 1999, after many years of dedicated service and soon moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Sue was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed being involved in the Democratic Party and took a keen interest in current events. Sue believed strongly in principles of equality and fairness for every person. John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Robert Kennedy were among her most highly celebrated champions of human and civil rights.

Sue was an avid reader and was constantly reading numerous books on a wide variety of subjects. Understanding and knowledge were hallmarks of her life and she passed this love of education onto both her daughters.

Sue loved music of all types, but particularly enjoyed jazz and was a member of the Albuquerque Jazz Society for many years. She kept in touch with her friends from St. Vincent over the years and was looking forward to attending her 60th High School Reunion in 2011.

Survivors include her daughter, Sr. Jacqueline Stoll, OP of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter, Karen Kitchens and her spouse Patrick Kitchens of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and her dear grandson Mark L. Schaad of Cheyenne, Wyo.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lt. Col. James C. Lamiell; her sister, Kathleen Perkins; and her beloved husband, Frank 1990.
