Marybeth Cook

Marybeth Cook of Fairlawn, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home on May 31, 2024 after battling Cancer.

Her Heavenly Home Going and Life will be Celebrated on SATURDAY, June 8, 2024 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Akron, OH 44333. The family will receive friends from 1-3PM followed by a service at 3PM.

Mary was born in Akron, Ohio to Lionel Cook and Phyllis Corbin Cook on January 3, 1947. She attended Bath Elementary and graduated from Andrews School for Girls in Willoughby, Ohio. Mary was a long time employee and retired from the United States Post office. She loved her family and horses and became an expert seamstress and knitter. Though she would rather order take out than cook, she loved baking with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and finding a good deal.

Mary is survived by daughter, Audrey Jo; grand, Amelia and Alison (Charlie) Tharan; great grands, Fiona, Adora and Calypso; brother, William D. Cook (Beverly); nephew, Dale Cook (Shannen); niece, Dana Darwin (Jim) and numerous cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by parents, brother, Leslie G. Cook, sister, Lucinda H. Cook.
