Mary Lynn (Phillips) Rankin

Mary Lynn Rankin (Phillips), 61, of Copley Twp., passed away at her home December 4, 2020 after a sudden illness. Born in New Orleans, LA she resided most of her life in the Akron area. A former retail executive, Mary Lynn enjoyed a long career in the retail trade. A trained artist, Mary Lynn’s lifelong interest in beauty enriched the lives of those in her personal life and in her public involvement. A wise and attentive mother, Mary Lynn is survived by her children, Lillian and James; her siblings, Barbara Pruitt of Hampton, VA and Richard G. Phillips of Sartell, MN; and by her husband, Nathan.

Mary Lynn was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and Firestone High School. Feeling sufficiently accomplished, Mary Lynn was considering retirement when the Lord chose to call her home. Due to difficulties in travel, memorial services will not be held at this time. May she in the Lord’s hands find the happiness and peace that she so desired. God rest her soul.
