Matroni Georgiadis, 82, passed away May 10, 2012.
She was born in Pereas, Greece and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron. Preceded in death by husband, Konstandinos Georgiadis and daughter, Eleni, she is survived by her son, Pantelis Georgiadis; sister, Maria (Alex) Konstantinopoulos; brother, Panagotis (Mary) Sakkas of Greece; nephews, Minas, Pantelis (Elaine), and Theodore (Faye) Konstantino-poulos; nieces, Nancy Sakkas and Dena (Nicko) Hatsianastasiou; great-nieces and great-nephews, Anastasia, Alexia, Alexi, Nicko, and Marianna Konstantinopoulos. She is survived also by nieces and nephews, Cristos, Semos, Mary, Sophia, Eleni, Demitri and George Georgiadis, all of Greece.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. MONDAY at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. Father Jerry F. Hall officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, where a Trisagion service will be held at 5 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron 44304.
