Matthew W. Evelsizer, 39, went to be with the Lord August 3, 2011.
He was born in Akron and was a lifetime area resident. He was a 1990 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, a member of The Church in Akron, and was a black belt Martial Arts Instructor. Matt enjoyed writing and had several blogs including, ``White Rabbit, Black Hole' and ``Calliope Nerve.'
Preceded in death by his father, Michael E.; he is survived by his wife, Kalisa; children, Kayla, Marinda, Lacey and Jacob; mother, Rosemary Evelsizer; brothers, Michael Sandra and Mark; many beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11 a.m. TUESDAY, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Elders Will Graphenreed and Dave Shields officiating. Cremation to follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home MONDAY from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evelsizer Family Fund at any Charter One Bank.
