Mel Dettra, Oldbuckeye, 48, graduated to his Scarlet and Gray eternal campus on December 28, 2011.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; son, Dale; and grandsons, Jonathan and Paul.
A memorial service will be held 12:30 p.m. WEDNESDAY, January 4th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Private inurnment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. If preferred, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St., Akron 44313 or to Good Neighbor's Inner City Food Pantry, 1453 Goodyear Blvd., Akron 44305.
