Melissa Ann Peterson

Melissa Ann Peterson , born November 15, 1959, died suddenly on August 8, 2022.

Missy will be remembered forever by her parents Carole and John Peterson of Akron, sister Jennifer and brother-in-law Robert Carter, nephew Owen and niece Leighton of Massachusetts, uncle William Vandersall and cousins Anne Bohnenkamp and Susan Anschutz of Iowa, and John Vandersall of Ohio. She was predeceased by her grandparents Bessie and Earl Vandersall, Hilda Shy and Russell Peterson, and her aunt Sharon Vandersall and niece Hadley Carter.

Throughout her life, Missy shared her kind heart, inquiring mind and beautiful voice with so many in the real and virtual worlds. With her passing into God’s heavenly kingdom, where sorrow and pain are no more, she saved others through Lifebanc organ, eye and tissue donation.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in the Chapel and Memorial Garden at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1361 W Market St, Akron, Ohio 44313.
