Melvin H. Reedy

Melvin H. Reedy , born July 25, 1947, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024. He grew up in Bristol, Tenn., until his family moved to the Mansfield, Ohio area.

He attended Toledo University where he played baseball, and he held several long-standing records. He completed his degree from the University of Akron and resided in the Hudson and Bath area for 51 years. He retired from SB/AT&T after 38 years of service. He was past president of NAMI, where he and his wife, Helen (Gerber) Reedy started the Summit County NAMI Walk.

Preceded in death by his son Michael Reedy. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Helen; son David Reedy; brothers Harry (Susan) Reedy and Jerome Dixon; sisters Vangie Dixon and Arlene Reiter.

There will be no services and cremation has taken place.
