Merle I. Shaver, 94, went to join her beloved husband on December 16, 2016.
Mrs. Shaver retired from the Dixie Lee Beauty Salon after 30 years of employment and was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church on White Pond Drive.
Preceded in death by husband, John B. Shaver; son, David E. Shaver and brother, Charles Green; survived by son, John P. Shaver; grandchildren, Darlene Wilson, Kimberly Hickman and Robert Shaver; 7 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on THURSDAY from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Cremation will follow and the family will hold a private graveside service at a later date at Greenlawn Memorial Park. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
