Mildred "Millie" Brittain Robertson
Mildred "Millie" Brittain Robertson, 84, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2009 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

A life resident of Akron, she was an accomplished pianist and was blessed with a beautiful voice. She graduated from West High School, attended The University of Akron, and retired from the Revere School System. Millie was a long-time member of Woodland Methodist Church, then later a member of The Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Esther Brittain; husband, Martin; and sisters, Jeanne Ritenour and Barbara Brown. She is survived by son, Keith of Laurel, Maryland; daughters, Cheryl Jim Nilsen and Rebecca Stavole of Akron; grandchildren, Rachel Ray Petelin, Michael Amy Nilsen, Melissa Nilsen Eric Bentrott, David Nilsen, Andrew Nilsen fiance Jaleen Francois, Herb Long, and Martina and Julia Stavole; great granddaughters, Elizabeth Petelin and Celia Grace Bentrott; and brother, Herbert Bettyann Brittain.

The family would like to thank the entire Jefferson Lane Staff at Bath Manor for their compassionate, kind and loving care of Millie.

A private family service will be held with interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1815 W. Market St., Akron 44313. Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel
