Miran "Mike" Tutelian, 85, died January 13, 2013.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a graduate of Toledo DeVilbiss High School in 1945 and the University of Toledo in 1950 and was a life member of its Alumni Association. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite and the Toledo Zenobia Shrine. A member of American Legion Post 19 in Akron and the National Association of Federal Employees, he was a life member of both the Akron Elks and National Treasury Employees Union. Miran retired in 1982 as a manager with the Internal Revenue Service after 31 years of loyal service in the Toledo and Akron offices.
Miran was known for his love of family and friends and took great pride in his Armenian heritage. Throughout his life he was a very avid sports fan. He lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed his family, friends and his French poodle dogs, Frenche and Zeus. During retirement, his favorite winter vacation with his wife for several years was at Las Vegas.
Miran is survived by his beloved wife, Anahid "Ann" (nee Tchobanian), whom he married on June 11, 1955 in Toledo; daughters, Carmen (Paul) Saro and Linda Tutelian; granddaughter, Megan Saro, all of Medina; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Astrig Tutelian of Sylvania, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., SUNDAY from 5 p.m. p.m. until the time of his funeral service at 7 p.m. Father Hratch Sargsyan will officiate. Private burial at Toledo Memorial Park.
