Nancy Jean Peel, 74, died November 6, 2015.
Born Nancy Jean Armstrong in Cleveland, Ohio on March 29, 1941 to Edwin and Catherine McCue Armstrong, Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was also a registered nurse for nearly 40 years and retired from Akron General Medical Center in 2004.
In her spare time, Nancy was a member of both the Bath and Richfield Seniors' groups and looked forward to the monthly gathering of the Dominoes Supper Club. She also enjoyed reading, embroidery, scrapbooking, and visiting the casino.
Preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Peel, Sr., parents, and sisters Beverly McCafferty and Carolyn Meyers; she is survived by son, Fred L. Peel, Jr. (Jeanine); daughters, Kelly Peel and Linda Sekanic (Dan); granddaughter, Caitlyn Thompson; brother Robert Armstrong; sisters, Karen Peel, Brenda Sutton, and Susan Koshar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where services will be held 11 a.m. THURSDAY, Kevin O'Brien officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans (
