Natalie Lucas Taylor

Natalie Lucas Taylor , 93, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2023.  Natalie was predeceased by her parents, James Winthrop Lucas and Nina Dorothy Lucas, her son Richard Winthrop Taylor, her cousin Norine Kreps, and her close friend Dorothy Rayner.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law Becky Taylor, her three grandsons, Matthew (Casey), Andrew (Kerri), and Jonathan, and her four great-grandchildren, Oliver, Nora, Winnie, and Eliza.

Natalie was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1930 before moving to Florida as a young child.  She spent much of her life in Miami, working as an administrator for Florida International University for many years.  She retired to Deland in 1992, and finally moved to Akron in 2018 to be closer to her family.  Beyond her long career, she was an avid reader, bridge player, and a lover of cats.  Her grandsons have many fond memories of their visits to Florida, whether it be going to Daytona Beach, playing cards, or swimming at the pool.

A private family ceremony will be held in Florida at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Barnabas Church .
