Nelson Gibbs

Nelson Gibbs, age 67, beloved husband and father passed away suddenly at his home in Akron on March 22, 2019. He had lived in Akron for the last 17 years.

Nelson was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Nelson and Alice (Pennington) Gibbs.

He graduated from Shaw High School in Cleveland and attended The Ohio State and Cleveland State Universities for a degree in Education. He was a teacher in Cleveland and Beachwood for 20 years and was currently employed at Orange City School District.

Nelson was preceded in death by daughter, Danielle Gibbs and is survived by wife, Darlene Harvey-Gibbs and children, David Gibbs, Alexis Harvey and David Harvey.

Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls, 44223. Viewing will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service starting at 6:30 p.m.
