Nicholas W. Richards, 89, passed away Oct. 10, 2014 following a brief illness.
Wright was an Army Veteran; served his country in World War II. He received his bachelor's from the University of Akron and master's in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. Employment included Ohio Brass, Cleveland Public Power and Mollard Conducting Batons. He was a member of the Church of Our Saviour and Brown Street Church of Christ. He volunteered for 15 years with AARP tax filing and OPEN M food bank. He enjoyed following Ohio sports' teams. He shared his greatest love with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Geraldine; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Richards; and brothers, Donald, Larry (Gloria) and Fred (Jean); he is survived by his sister, Kay Rogers, sister-in-law, Betty; and Euchre buddy, Fran Keller.
Our father will be deeply missed by Arthur (Diana), Renae Osherow (Roger Weinberg), David, Ken (Debbie) and Kittie Borton; grandchildren, Kimberly (Matt) Gabler, Brandon (Ashley) Richards, Danielle Osherow, Nicholas, Zachary and Jennifer Richards, Kelsey Richards and Kelley, Katie and Kyle Borton; and great grandchildren, Kiana, Tatum, Tallulah and Annabelle Gabler and Ayleigh Richards. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where friends may call from 12:30 until service time. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
