Nicholas P. Rusanowsky, 92, passed away on February 2, 2017.
He was born in NYC to Paul & Anna Rusanowsky, the third of five sons, reared in Milford, CT, served in the US Army during WWII in the ETO & graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After graduation and his wartime service, he joined Babcock & Wilcox Company where he worked for over 40 years until his retirement.
He was the devoted husband of the late Miriam; loving & supportive father to Janet Rusanowsky, John (Pam) Rusanowsky and Barbara (Bryan) Webster; beloved grandfather of David (Beth), John, Nick, Michael, Emma, Cora and Anna. Two brothers also survive him, Daniel (Helen) and Paul (Marilyn) in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was our rock.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 18th at 12 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1250 W. Exchange St., Akron with memorial service to follow immediately at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the USO (uso.org), Boy Scouts of America or the charity of your choice.
