Olga M. Usnik, 86, of Fairlawn passed away on June 1, 2014.
Olga was born in Middletown, Ohio on January 9, 1928. She graduated from Barberton High School in June, 1946. She was employed by the Barberton school system as a secretary and later worked at Ritzman's Pharmacy and the Kopper Popper.
Olga was a member of the former St. Cyril & Methodius Church and was currently a member of Guardian Angels Church in Copley as well as the Ladies Sokol Wreath #103.
Olga loved to cook and bake. Her pastries and buckeyes were legendary. She enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles and cared for the many rabbits who found a home in her yard.
Preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Mary Gugleta and husband of 55 years, Joseph; Olga is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Bill Roth of Fairlawn; sister, Helen McDermott of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Stephen Gugleta of Wichita, Kansas; sister-in-law, Jane Skraba of Tavares, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews and grandpets, Savannah, Frisco and Pepper.
Cremation has taken place. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on THURSDAY, June 12, 2014
at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Copley, with Rev. Fr. James F. Kramer officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
