Olwen "Nana" P. Mortimer, 82, Died March 4, 2016.
Born July 14, 1932 in Barry, S. Wales to Thomas and Edith Hooper Spierling, Nana Walked On on March 4, 2016. She lived a long and happy life, full of taking in strays (teenagers and animals alike) and showing them their full potential.
Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony D. Mortimer and daughter, Toni Elizabeth Weese; she is survived by not only her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Patricia A. Weese, James A. Weese (Virginia E. Weese) and Bradley J.Stillwell (Daniel A. Stillwell), but a multitude of people whose lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held 6 PM Wednesday at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Jack Lyons officiating. There are no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
