Opal Marie Duncan, 81, passed away June 21, 2013.
Born May 15, 1932 in Charleston, W. Va., she was known for her bright smile and kind heart.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ford and Oakley Casto; son, Edward Duncan; and sisters, Janet (Charles) Abernathy and Reba (Don) Abernathy; she leaves behind, her loving husband of 63 years, Carl; daughter, Brenda (Leonard) Schmidt; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Service will be held 11 a.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Pastor Jae Young Rhee and Bryan Abernathy officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home TUESDAY from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ghent Christian Church, 4200 Granger Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333.
