"Faye", 95, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009.
Faye graduated from Akron Central High School and attended the University of Akron where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of Coral Gables and First Methodist Church in Florida.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Whitaker; parents, William and Mattie Smith; brother, E. Leland Smith; nephew, Douglas W. Smith; survived by nephew, Dean E. Norma Smith of Akron; grandnephews, Scott W. Debra Smith of Yorkshire, Ohio, David A. Deborah Smith of Akron, Larry J. Laura Smith of Wadsworth, Eric D. Tara Smith of Spanish Fort, Ala; grandnieces, Susan Jim Fuller of Kahaheo, Kauai and Christine Brad Tyro of Sylvania, Ohio.
There will be a private family service. Memorials may be made to the University of Akron Foundation, Smith Family Scholarship Fund, Akron, OH 44325-2603.
