Patricia "Pat" Andrea

Pat Andrea surrendered her battle to Glioblastoma on July 27, 2014.
Pat was born in Riddlesburg, PA on June 19, 1935, to Gilbert and Jemima Thomas. She married Joseph Andrea in Akron, OH on October 20, 1956. Pat and Joe raised children, Joseph, Michael (Leslie), Susan (Thomas), John (Jean) and Timothy; and were blessed with grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, Kimberly (Mark), James, Justin, Jerett, Alex, Brenton, and Kelsey. Pat is additionally survived by her sister, Lista Mellott; numerous nieces and nephews; and too many friends to number. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vincent; and sister, Irene.
Pat and her husband Joe enjoyed their work as standardized patients, educating student physicians at Northeastern Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), and also volunteered as ushers at Akron Civic Theater and EJ Thomas Hall. She enjoyed weekend movies with friends, and frequently welcomed family and friends into her home with spaghetti, meatballs and good cheer.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate Pat's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., (corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave.) In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Pat's memory to Northeastern Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), Hospice of Summa or Blast Glioblastoma.
