Patricia Ann (Treml) Blazey (nee Haines), 88, passed away Nov. 13, 2016
A lifelong resident of Akron, Pat was born on Nov. 17, 1927, the daughter of Lloyd M. Haines and Laretta Day Haines, and sister of Anita H. Exline. Survived by daughters, Christine L. Stevens (Bill) and Kathleen Lacy Hansen (Tom); sons, Michael L. Treml (Laura) and Jon J. Treml (Linda); grandchildren, Anne, Matthew, Christian, Patrick, Michael Jr., Katherine, Lesley and Alexa; and great grandchildren, Leah, Jaxon and Vivian.
Pat was a ballet and modern dancer, graduated from Buchtel H.S., and attended University of Akron. She was married to Joseph S. Treml on May 23, 1950 until his death in 1987. She taught swimming for many years and worked at Akron General School of Nursing. Pat came from a musical background; her father and sister taught music and both played in the Akron Symphony. She assisted in organizing Akron Symphony's Concerts for Kids and supported Tuesday Musical. In 1988, she married Thomas W. Blazey and they had many good years together, sharing their love of tennis, bridge, annual trips to NYC for series of Broadway plays, attending reunions to Harvard University, Tom's alma mater, and traveling the world on tours and cruises. Pat was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church, Akron Woman's City Club, and Fairlawn Country Club. Pat's true love was for her family and amazing friends. She will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Friends and Family are welcome to join the family for a celebration of Pat's life on Sunday, November 20th at Fairlawn Country Club from 2-4:00 p.m.
