Patricia Ann Gardner

February 22, 1952 — November 23, 2021

Patricia Ann Gardner (nee Davis) passed away on November 23, 2021. She was born in Akron to parents, Clyde and Mary Davis. She was married to her husband, Douglas Gardner, and was his rock, his love, his copilot, and the one who kept him in line for 47 years. She was a loving mother of their son, Kristopher.

Together, Pat and Doug enjoyed skiing, traveling, cruising, volunteering, photography, supporting their veteran friends, and volunteering at church. Although they were quiet in nature, they thoroughly enjoyed speaking to and interacting with others.

Pat was a Patient Accounts Software Trainer and worked dutifully for 32 years for Summa Health System, at both St. Thomas and Akron City Hospital. Pat and Doug were active members of Mahoning Valley Mustangs, Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #717, and the Tuy Hoa Reunion Group. Pat impacted so many people during her life and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held on SATURDAY December 11 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 158 N. Avenue, Tallmadge, OH 44278. Her family invites all attendees to share their favorite stories of Pat at the service. For more information on the Celebration, which will be live streamed at www.stmark-lutheran.org, please call St. Mark Lutheran Church at 330-633-3718. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pat’s name may be made to fund Kidney, Diabetes, or Cancer Research.
