Patricia Seed Sovacool Giovanelli
Patricia Seed Sovacool Giovanelli passed away on April 10 surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 16, 1929 in Akron to Robert and Monica (Doyle) Seed.
Pat attended the University of Akron and earned her bachelor's degree in teaching. She also taught accordion early in her career. Pat was a reading specialist for Redeemer Lutheran School in Cuyahoga Falls and an elementary school teacher in the Cuyahoga Falls and Akron School systems. She was a reading tutor for adults with several literacy programs, and was involved in St. Joseph Catholic Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, both in Cuyahoga Falls. Throughout her life, she belonged to theology discussion groups and social groups at both churches. She played accordion and piano and loved to hear live music. She loved to dance, to play bridge, and to travel throughout the United States. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Barry Sovacool; parents, Robert and Monica (Doyle) Seed; sister, Sandra Garey; sister Jacqueline Craig; and brother, Robert Seed.
Pat is survived by her loving and caring second husband Louis Giovanelli. She is also survived by her six children: sons Kenneth (Beth) Sovacool of Canton, OH; Richard (Marilyn) Sovacool of Port Orange, FL; Robert (Linda) Sovacool of Noblesville, IN; James (Marie) Sovacool of University Heights, OH; David (Rosie) Sovacool of Winston Salem, NC; and MaryBeth (Scott) Carpenter of Raleigh, NC. Pat is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Friends may call SUNDAY, April 22, from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Billow Falls Chapel, 1907 23rd Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. MONDAY, April 23 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, with Father Thomas McCann presiding. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's name be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or to the Father McCann Fund at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. (Billow Falls Chapel)
