Patricia J. Hirt

Patricia J. Hirt, 83, went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Patricia was born in Youngstown on April 2, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Evelyn (Hensch) Brundage; she is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Frank C. Hirt; brother, George H. Brundage (Nancy); sons, David. F. (Barbara) Hirt and Stephen G. (Amanda) Hirt; daughter, Jennifer A. (Gregory) Hirt-Marchand; and grandsons, David M. Hirt and Benjamin D. Hirt.

She had a strong devotion to God and to her family, and she displayed a special love for children. A lover of animals, she enjoyed the companionship of many dogs and cats throughout her life. She was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed her time visiting the library.

The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of Summa Hospice and Ohio Living-Rockynol for their compassionate love and care.

A funeral service will be held on TUESDAY at 11:00 A.M. at Montrose Zion United Methodist Church, 565 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Akron, OH 44333, with Rev. Dr. Bill Liming officiating. Friends may call one hour prior at the church. Private interment will follow at Moore's Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Montrose Zion United Methodist Church.
