Patty passed away Monday surrounded by family and friends, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Her courage, inspiration, and love will be missed, but held in the hearts of her best friend and soul mate, Jimmy Scroggy; her son, Matthew Rockwood; sisters, Diane, Christina, Susan, and Susie; many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Esther Rehmus, her staff, the nurses and staff of the 5400 wing AGMC, and VNS of Hospice for your compassionate care of Patty.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 N. Main St., Akron 44310. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to 876 Elmore Ave., Akron 44302.
